We proudly present the 5th annual Japanese Spring Festival: Matsuri 2015! It'll be on Saturday, May 9th from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Hutchinson Courtyard (5706 S. University Ave. Chicago IL 60637). Unlike the previous spring festivals we hosted, this time we are offering free admission! Just remember to bring a few dollars for delicious food. Games with special prizes, info booths, and martial arts booths are free!

If you want to have ramen in Chicago, Wasabi is the place to go. They serve ramen that is comparable to those that can be found in Japan. It is a bit far from our campus, but the members who went definitely thought that it was worth it!

We had our first Mitsuwa Trip of the year this Saturday. Our memebers had a lot of fun shopping for Japanese goods and filling their stomach full with Japanese food from the food court. Exploring Nuclear Weapons and Energy

The Atomic Age Symposium will be held this Saturday to discuss nuclear weapons and energy, featuring new documentaries by two women filmmakers, one from the U.S. and one from Japan. They will be joined by a panel of experts for discussion after each screening, with a roundtable to conclude the day. Find out more about the day's programs.
T-shirts will also be sold to promote the conference in Bartlett for $10 each. All proceeds will go towards Japan Relief & Rebuild.

While we cannot join them in Japan, we can continue to support them here -- some students have lost the means to continue their education, and our funds will help their scholarship.
